    The Dallas-Fort Worth Theater Critics Forum is comprised of print journalists in the North Texas Metroplex of Dallas-Fort Worth who work primarily in the area of theater criticism. ("Theater" includes professional and semi-professional productions of plays, musicals, and occasionally classical music/opera, comedy and performance art.)

    Forum members are engaged in a number of actitivies throughout the year. They coordinate information about show openings; make recommendations among themselves about especially noteworthy productions; develop and maintain relationships between the critics and the local theater companies, troupes and other arts organizations; socialize with one another and participate in various community and fund-raising events; and present annual awards for the best in local theater.

    In addition to keeping theatergoers, journalists and theater professionals in North Texas updated about its activities, the Forum hopes to make this Web site a clearinghouse for those in the Dallas-Fort Worth for keeping abreast of happenings in the theater community.
